My portacapture 6 will not be recognized by my computer on file explorer so I am unable to transfer recordings from the SD card to the computer, although the PC6 does appear on my DAW and I have been able to update the firmware. I can use the unit to record to the DAW in USB mode. When I turn on the PC6 I get an error message USB FS mismatch but my DAW and PC6 are both set to 48k, 32 bit float and I am using a USB data cable. Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you

Your Tascam Portacapture X6 may not be recognized by your computer in File Explorer due to several reasons:
1. Insufficient Power Supply: Ensure that your USB power source provides at least 1500 mA. A lower power supply can cause connection issues. 2. Incorrect USB Cable: Use a compatible USB Type-C cable for connection. If connecting to a USB Type-A port, a commercially available Type-A to Type-C cable is needed. 3. USB Mode Setting: Ensure the unit is set to the correct USB transfer mode (Mass Storage) to allow file access. 4. No microSD Card: A microSD card is required to store and access recordings. Make sure a supported card is inserted. 5. File System Compatibility: Ensure the microSD card is formatted in a compatible file system (FAT16 for SD cards, FAT32 for SDHC cards). 6. Device Recognition Issue: Try a different USB port or restart both the recorder and the computer.
If the issue persists, check the USB port on the recorder for any physical damage.
