1 - Introduction

1 - 1 Features

o The 2.4-inch color touchscreen, which makes the interface easy to
view, enables easy and intuitive operation.
o In addition to basic multitrack recording, apps are ready for a wide
range of recording applications, including podcasts, music, inter-
views, field recording and ASMR.
o With 2 lockable XLR input jacks, recording with multiple mic/line
inputs is possible. Separate phantom power (24V/48V) is supported
for each channel.
o The mic units use high-quality condenser mics.
o Switching between X-Y and A-B recording formats is possible by
rotating the mic units.
o Multitrack recording with 6 tracks (4 tracks and a stereo mix) is possi-
ble.
o Recording with resolutions up to 96kHz/32-bit float (floating-point
arithmetic) is supported. This enables audio editing using DAW soft-
ware without reducing the audio quality of the recorded data.
o Dual recording with different formats is possible for each input track.
o USB audio interface functions support 6 ins and 2 outs.
o By connecting an AK-BT1 Bluetooth adapter (sold separately), wire-
less remote control using a smartphone or tablet can be enabled.
o Recording functions include low-cut filter, compressor, limiter, auto-
matic gain control and noise gate.
o CAMERA and MIC/EXT IN jacks are built-in. These support output
from a camera of the sound it is recording, wireless mic receivers and
plug-in power mics, for example.
o The CAMERA/LINE output jack has an attenuation function and
allows audio output to cameras and other devices.
o Audio can be monitored using the headphone output or the built-in
speaker.
o Supports micro SD/micro SDHC/micro SDXC (up to 512GB) recording
media
o Equipped with a USB Type-C port that supports USB bus power Sup-
ports operation on USB bus power.
o Various mark and slate tone functions are available.

1 - 2 Conventions used in this manual

The following conventions are used in this manual.
o "microSD/microSDHC/microSDXC memory card" is sometimes abbre-
viated as "microSD card".
o Smartphones, tablets and other devices connected to this unit using
Bluetooth are called "Bluetooth devices".
o Files created during a single recording are referred to collectively as a
project.
o The project that is currently selected is called the "current project".
o Information shown on a computer display is written like this: "OK".
o References to "iOS" in this document also include "iPad OS".
o As necessary, additional information is provided under TIP, NOTE and
CAUTION headings.

These are tips about how to use the unit.
NOTE
These provide additional explanations and describe special cases.
