The GVP-123 is the Breathing Tube that allows air to flow from the GVP PAPR to
the Facepiece. The breathing tube should be replaced whenever punctures,
cracks or general wear are found.
1) To remove it from the facepiece:
a. Unscrew the breathing tube from the DIN.
2) To remove it from the motor blower:
a. Unscrew the breathing tube from its connection point.
3) To clean the GVP-123 Breathing Tube:
a. The breathing tube should be washed only with warm soapy
water. Use of solvents on the breathing tube may result in
softening, which could lead to tears or ruptures.
b. Rinse the breathing tube in clean water.
c. Store the breathing tube in an uncontaminated area.
3M™ Belt-Mounted Powered Air Purifying Respirator (PAPR)
1) The GVP-1 is the entire PAPR System. If it has been dropped, or
shows signs of damage due to impact or rough treatment, the unit
should be removed from service and inspected.
2) The GVP-110 is the Power Cord. The power cord should be replaced
when it is damaged or missing.
