Important safety instructions, please note
The SEECODE Damascus Butcher Knife must not be
used or cleaned by children or physically or mentally
weakened persons.
Do not use the Damascus Knife when under the influ-
ence of alcohol, sleeping pills or sedatives.
Always use the damask knife only as described in
these instructions for use.
Use of the SEECODE Damascus Butcher Knife
The handmade SEECODE Damascus Butcher Knife is
distinguished by its special shape.
Further also in the size, the balanced weight and the
circular finger opening in the blade as well as the high
quality materials of the blade and the handle.
The SEECODE Damascus Butcher Knife is a universal
knife and fulfils a variety of tasks in the kitchen, from
precise slicing and dicing to coarser tasks, e.g. cutting
corn on the cob and separating gristle tissue on meat.
The knife is optimally balanced in terms of construction
and weight and is best suited for filleting meat and fish
but also for cutting vegetables and fruit.
The ergonomic handle, the blade shaped in a special
way and the opening into which the index finger can
be inserted when cutting give the Damascus knife the
decisive power and precision. This means that hardly
any pressure needs to be applied when cutting and the
risk of slipping is minimized.
With the SEECODE Damascus Butcher Knife, classic
cutting movements can be carried out, but due to the
round blade shape, perfect cradling movements for
chopping leeks or parsley, for example, can also be
carried out.
The filigree tip is ideal for particularly precise cuts.
Cleaning and care of the SEECODE Damascus
Butcher Knife
Do not put the SEECODE Damascus Butcher Knife in
the dishwasher. Heat differences during the rinsing pro-
cess can change the structure of the steel. Furthermo-
re, cleaning agents can be very aggressive and attack
the steel. Rust, for example, could be the result.
After use, always wash the knife only by hand in
lukewarm water; a little hand dishwashing liquid can
be used.
Then the knife should be carefully dried immediately. It
is best to rub the knife regularly with a little cooking oil
or odorless and tasteless household oil, which cares for
both the blade and the wood of the handle.
A tip: Knife blocks and magnetic strips are best suited
for storing the Damascus knife. Please do not use
leather knife sheaths. When tanning the leather, sub-
stances are used that can damage the steel.
