1. Safety information

Important preliminary remarks and safety information regarding the control
units by Weber Lifttechnik GmbH
The following information regarding equipping of our control units mainly contains generally
valid statements. This safety information makes no claim regarding completeness. Please find
special instructions regarding the handling and adjustment of the respective control unit type in
the manuals included in delivery.
The devices and machines used in or controlled by our control units are equipment for use in
high-voltage systems. This equipment features hazardous live, moving and rotating parts
during operation. In case of incorrect handling of the device or insufficient maintenance,
severe damage to health or material damage may be caused.
Persons responsible for the safety of the system must therefore ensure the following:
Only qualified personnel may be commissioned with work on the devices
and machines. Operating instructions and product documentation must
be available at all times during work on the system and be consistently
observed.
Working on the devices and machines or within close proximity to them
is prohibited to non-qualified personnel.
All accident prevention regulations and any further deviating or
supplementary regulations for special areas of application and regional
special regulations must be observed.
All installations and adjustments of the electrical devices supplied by us
are to be executed by an electrician or under their instruction and
supervision.
During this process, the generally valid regulations, guidelines and laws
are to be observed, in particular also the EN and VDE (German
Association of Electrical Engineers) regulations.
Installation or replacement of the devices may only be executed after
switching off the power supply.
