When measuring mechanical deformations electrically with strain gauge trans
ducers, it is interesting to know the precise correlation between the mechanical
quantity acting on the transducer and the corresponding electrical display at
the end of the measurement chain.
So instead of a strain gauge (S.G.) quarter bridge, a K800 calibration instru
ment can be used. This provides defined electrical resistances and for the
AP814Bi and AP815i MGCplus system connection boards, it simulates eight
single strain gauges simultaneously.
Each calibration instrument is designed for one specific calibration resistance
in a quarter‐bridge circuit.
Four different calibration instruments are available for :
S 120 Ω
S 350 Ω
S 700 Ω
S 1000 Ω
The particular calibration resistance of the device is specified on the front panel
below the designation K800.
The five calibration steps, corresponding to the effective strain of a strain
gauge, allow the measuring amplifier to be checked.
The calibration instrument can be operated via a USB interface or via a digital
control input with a computer or can be operated manually.
With an additional DKD calibration certificate, traceability is ensured.
