    General 1 General 1.1 Information about this manual This installation and operating manual is part of the SAFERUN® pump monitoring system and describes the correct and safe use of the device in all operating phases. ® SAFERUN uses sensors in the containment can to determine the current operating state of the connected pump.

    Safety 2.1 General safety instructions The device corresponds to the general state of the art and has been designed and manufactured in compliance with all applicable regulations and guidelines. To use the device safely, always observe the following safety instructions: Check the device regularly for externally visible damage and defects.

    Safety 2.2 Particular dangers The device itself is not dangerous. However, depending on where it is used, special safety regulations in line with the operational safety ordinance and the accident prevention regulations apply to the device’s field of application. The device meets the requirements according to RL 94/9/EC (ATEX 95) for use in potentially explosive environments.

    ® SAFERUN is designed to monitor the operating state of magnetically coupled MNK series centrifugal pumps from Richter Chemie-Technik GmbH. Any other or additional use is considered improper. The system reports changes in the operating state, which allow conclusions to be drawn about the operation of the pump in relation to the permitted fields of application specified by the manufacturer.
