Adjusting the Parking Brake Re-adjust the parking brake on your mower as outlined in the “Adjusting the Parking Brake” procedure in the Maintenance section of the tractor Operator's manual. Installing the Hopper Mount Brackets 1. Loosen the front 5/16-18 x 2 3/4 inch bolt on the LH and RH rear panels (item 7 in Figure 2).
Installing the Weight Assembly 1. Remove and retain the two retaining pins, three 3/8-16 x 1 inch screws, and three 3/8-16 inch nyloc nuts that are fastened to the weight mounting plate. 2. Mount the weight mounting plate to the front panel of the toe board using two 3/8-16 x 1 inch screws and two 3/8-16 inch nyloc nuts.

mounting plate (see Figure 6). Install the two retaining pins into the weight mounting plate. Note: The removable weights are heavy. Use care when lifting them. Make sure that you can hold them securely before lifting them. Use caution when positioning your hands so that you Do Not set them down on your hands or fingers.
4. Apply a light coat of Mobil HTS grease (or food grade antisieze) to the top portion of the spindle shaft where the sheave mounts. 5. Install the double sheave onto the right spindle shaft and install the nut. Torque the sheave nut to 130-160 ft-lb (176–217 N-m).

8. With the deck in the lowest position and the hopper closed, look underneath the hopper and the measure length of the upper tube protruding into the hopper (see Figure 17). If the upper tube extends more than 3 inches (7.6 cm) into the hopper, then the excess length must be removed.
