Operation of control systems

5.2.1 Pump operation

Criteria for switching on:
– Pump operation depends on the continuously measured temperature difference between the solar panel and the storage tank
temperature and a comparison with the set value of the parameter "Delta T on".
– The solar panel circulation pump P
parameter "Delta T on" (e.g. storage tank temperature equals 40 °C and "Delta T on" is equal to 15 K; solar panel temper-
ature >55 °C).

Because of continual improvements for optimum use of the EKSR3PA + EKSRDS1A control and pump unit, the
solar control system is fitted with an update function. Therefore, some functions described in this chapter are
applicable to specific software versions only. These functions are indicated separately by symbols.
Software updates to the solar control system must be done by DAIKIN service technicians only.
The DAIKIN solar system is operated fully automatically throughout the year. The speed of the pump drive is
controlled by the solar control system when the FlowSensor EKSFLP12A is connected. The operating and
display components are shown in Fig 5-1.
The power switch completely disconnects the solar control system from the mains voltage. Switching on the
power switch requires greater pressure on the button than pressing the operating buttons.
