5-2-3. Optical Axis Adjustment

Note: Optical Axis Adjustment is done by moving the positioning of
the 3rd lens assy.
Refer to "2-2. DISASSEMBLY", disassemble the lens, and
move the positioning of the 3rd lens assy.

Adjustment Procedure

1. Remove the focus block and peel off the adhesive of the 3rd lens
assy, referring to the "2-2. DISASSEMBLY".
2. Loosen the three screws to fixing the 3rd lens assy.
3. Assemble up to the mount block assy without attaching the rear
outer block assy, referring to the "2-3. ASSEMBLY".
4. Attach the checking lens to the flange back tester referring to
the steps 1 to 3 of "Preparations of Using a Camera (General E-
mount Interchangeable Lens Digital Camera)" or "Preparations
of Using a B-L Control Box", set the 1000 mm collimator.
5. That the ring chart image becomes the center while observing
the 1000 mm collimator so moving the lens little by little using
a thin flat head screwdriver.
Look at the state of the optical axis, look at the state of the optical
axis to move again if misalignment, repeat the procedure.
6. Perform the "5-2-2. Optical Axis Check", check that the optical
axis of checking lens satisfies the specification.
7. When the specification (reference value) is satisfied, remove the
CL-1049 board block, referring to the "2-2. DISASSEMBLY".
8. Tighten the three screws loosened at step 2. (0.14 ± 0.02 N•m)
9. Apply the adhesive bond (B-110) to the following 5 places.

10. Attach the rear outer block assy and assemble the checking lens.
