WARNING
Make sure that the luggage on the front pan-
nier rack does not obstruct you (f).
Do not exceed the maximum permissible load
capacity of the front pannier rack of 15 kg.
Be sure to never set off before having secured
the bags or the objects on the front pannier
rack, i.e. before having actively secured them
with safety belts or lashing straps. Cargo
shifting may otherwise modify the centre of
gravity and result in critical riding situations.
Read the chapter "Transportation of passen-
gers and goods".
NOTICE
Observe the changed riding characteristics
with a loaded CENTURION VARIO front pan-
nier rack. The heavier weight and the changed
centre of gravity affect the steering and brak-
ing behaviour of your CENTURION VARIO.
Load your CENTURION VARIO therefore only
with very light luggage.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Ask someone to help you when mounting the
front pannier rack. This will ease mounting.
Do not forget to consider the luggage on the
front pannier rack when calculating the maxi-
mum permissible overall weight.

Fasten the cable of the front wheel brake to the rear
of your CENTURION VARIO front pannier rack by
using the respective cable guide. Start by turning
the bolt with a 4-mm Allen key and finish by tighten-
ing it to 8 Nm by using a torque wrench (g). Strictly
observe the indicated torque value.
Hold the front pannier rack to your CENTURION
VARIO. The ends or the fastening bore holes of the
f
pannier rack struts must be over the fixing points on
the head tube (h).
Be sure to use the fastening bolts always together
with the countersunk washers supplied. Screw in
the four fastening bolts by two to three turns with
your fingers. Start by turning the bolts with a T 25
Torx key and finish by tightening them to 8 Nm by
using a torque wrench. Strictly observe the indicat-

ed torque value.
