You can also use an external drive to rip a CD. Select a connected external drive with the button
»External drive«. Which drive is currently used, is indicated below this button. In order to use
the internal drive again, click the button »Internal drive« which will appear instead of the button
»external drive« if an external drive is used.
The buttons »Clear log« and »Entire log« refer to the data outputs that are generated during a
CD import. If you click the button »Clear log« all entries will be deleted from the log. If you click
the button »Entire log« all log entries are shown. Otherwise they are hidden for the purpose of a
clear overview.
During a CD import, you can stop the import process with the button »Cancel rip«. In case you
choose this option, the import process will be stopped immediately and the CD will be ejected.
In case a CD is not automatically ejected, you can force the xo|one to eject the CD by clicking the
button »Eject CD«.

The file format FLAC

In order to provide you with full listening pleasure we have chosen FLAC as file format to store your
music files. The abbreviation stands for »Free Lossless Audio Codec«.
FLAC also provides the useful option to add further information on titles within the files, such as
artists and lyrics (meta data).
