Memphis Shades MEM-9848 Instructions

TOOLS REQUIRED: 3/16" Allen Wrench
ALWAYS COVER THE FRONT FENDER AND GAS TANK TO PREVENT ANY POSSIBLE DAMAGE
1. Install the mounting plates on the windshield using the bolts that are pre-assembled on the mounting plates. The rubber
grommets should be inserted through the holes in the windshield so that the flat round washer part of the grommet lays
flat on each side of the windshield. On each plate, get both started before you tighten either. (See Figure 1.1 & 1.2)
2. Loosen the four bolts that are to hold the windshield to the mounting brackets, and slide the mounting plates onto the
brackets. (See figure 2)
3. Adjust the height, angle, and alignment of the shield and tighten down the bolts that hold the windshield to the plates,
then the bolts that hold the plates to the brackets.
4. Place the non-used windshield in a safe storage area. Preferably in a Memphis Shades windshield storage bag. Storage
bag for Fats/Slims part #MEM0980, Storage bag for Sportshields part #MEM0985.
WARNING: This is a quick disconnect kit. Always tighten down all mounting bolts after removing
or installing the windshield every time

To clean your windshield, use only warm water and a mild non-abrasive, dishwashing liquid. Use a soft cloth, such
as a T-shirt or flannel cloth. To protect your windshield/ please use Novus #2 to remove minor scratches, or use a
polish like Memphis Shades Shinola which is specially designed for plastic windshields; glass cleansing agents will
cause severe damage to your windshield and will void your warranty.
Never use any glass products, petroleum based chemicals, or cleaning agents with ammonia, bleach or any
Harsh chemicals. This includes Rain-X, Brake Fluid, Acetone, and Gasoline.
