while depressing the MEMORY 4 button. The MEMORY 4 LED will flash, Indicating that you are In
the Softpatch Programming Mode.
Select the control channel you wish to repatch by setting the corresponding slide control (ONLY) to its
maximum position. The 16 channel level Indicator LEDs will now represent dimmers assigned to the
selected control channel. The four FLASH buttons (1-4) will allow you to change the dimmers
represented by the channel level Indicator LEDs as follows:
Depressing the FLASH 1 button will instruct the MIDI 616 to display dimmer channels 1 - 16.
Depressing the FLASH 2 button will instruct the MIDI 616 to display dimmer channels 17 - 32, if the
maximum number of dimmers is set to 32 or more.
Depressing the FLASH 3 button will instruct the MIDI 616 to display dimmer channels 33 - 48, if the
maximum number of dimmers is set to 48 or more.
Depressing the FLASH 4 button will instruct the MIDI 616 to display dimmer channels 49 - 64, if the
maximum number of dimmers is set to 64.
The dimmer channel to be changed is represented by a flashing channel level indicator LED. The
selection of specific channels that are to be changed is controlled by the use of the GO and BACK
buttons.
Use the GO and BACK buttons to select the dimmer channels to patch and unpatch to the previously
selected control channel. Tap the PROGRAM button to "toggle" this dimmer channel on (bright flashing
LED) or off (dim flashing LED). If the MASTER LEVEL slide control Is set above minimum, the stage
lights corresponding to the patched dimmer channels will light.
Use the GO and BACK buttons along with the FLASH and PROGRAM buttons to patch or unpatch any
other dimmer channels to the selected control channel. When you are satisfied with the selected control
channel patching, return the channel level slide control to minimum and select a new channel to patch,
repeating to above procedure.
When the Softpatch is completed, press the BLACKOUT button to return to normal operation.
