    Doc id: ENG_OMM_SB60_P14 Risks 2.1 Introduction An analysis shows that there are three distinct risk areas for this equipment: • Operation, lift and handling • Repair • Maintenace For each risk identified, there is a short explanation and the means of limiting this risk described. Most of the operating risks are also highlighted in other chapters in this manual. Great emphasis is placed on the operators training to reduce the risk associated with the operation of this equipment.

    Doc id: ENG_OMM_SB60_P14 • Fast connections are used, which minimizes oil being spilled during connection or disconnection to the carrier machine. • Operators and service personnel should wear appropriate protective equipment, such as gloves, goggles and overalls. Skin exposed to hydraulic oils should be washed immediately.

Only competent staff should perform any repair or maintenance. For advice on maintenance or repair on the machine, please contact Rosenqvist Rail AB. Personnel injury High pressure hydraulic system may have stored pressure even when disconnected from the rail/road machine.

    Doc id: ENG_OMM_SB60_P14 Description The Sleeper Replacer SB60 is designed and manufactured for use as a hydraulic attachment on rail-bounded excavators for efficient replacing of concrete and wooden sleepers. It is hydraulically rotating and tilting and can replace the sleepers both from the middle and from the side of the track.

    Doc id: ENG_OMM_SB60_P14 Installation 5.1 Main functions The Sleeper Replacer SB60 is manoeuvred hydraulically from the carrying vehicle. Please observe that the carrying vehicle should incorporate two 2-way hydraulic outlets. The Sleeper Replacer SB60 performs the following operations: • Gripping: The unit incorporates a load holding facility, pressure relief valve, as well as an accumulator to maintain grip on the sleeper.

There are three different sizes of support rollers mounted on to the SB60. When the operator excavates, the support roller rolls on the rail head, see Figure 19. Depending on which support roller is mounted, the blade excavates at different depths.
