Tools Required: Small flat-blade screwdriver

maintenance, cleaning or service to the bed.

Warning: DO NOT open any actuators, control boxes or pendants. Service is only to be performed by
authorized service personnel. If unauthorized service is performed on any components, the warranty is void.

Warning: NEVER perform maintenance with a resident on or near the device. Only qualified
personnel should attempt to perform maintenance on this bed. Failure to properly follow all warning and
instructions may result in personal injury or damage to the device. Failure to properly care for the device
may decrease the device life and increase the need for maintenance.

instructions for Charging Batteries:

1. Mount battery charger in a location convenient for caregivers. Plug charger into standard 110v outlet.
Insert battery in to charger and make sure it clips securely onto wall bracket.
• Green light – indicates that the main power is on.
• Yellow light – indicates that the battery is charging.
2. The battery will be fully charged when the yellow light goes off (after about 4 hours of charging).
nOTE: The manufacturer recommends that you charge the battery immediately upon receipt.
3. Battery life is approximately 3½ years, depending on usage.
4. For maximum battery life, keep it connected to the charger when not in use. The charger will not
overcharge the battery.
5. Dispose of worn-out batteries at your local recycling center, in the same manner as a lead-acid
automotive battery.

CauTiOn: Keep batteries fully charged. Place batteries in charger when not in use – the charger will
not allow batteries to overcharge.
