- Page 3 • WARNING – The mattress extender is designed to be used only with foam mattresses of a similar composition. Do not use the mattress extender with an air or inflatable mattress. • WARNING – Do not use the mattress extender with a mattress of a differing height or width.
- Page 4 1. Locate the gap between the mattress and the head or foot board. 2. Peel covering on the mattress extender to expose the adhesive side of the Velcro. 3. Place the adhesive side of the Velcro against the end of the mattress you want the extender to be used on and firmly press the Velcro into the mattress, checking for good adhesion to the mattress.
- Page 5 5. Position the mattress and mattress extender assembly on the bed so it fits snuggly between the headboard and footboard. NOTE: The mattress extender can be used at the head end or foot end of the mattress. A caregiver should determine the location of the mattress extender that provides the best skin protection and performance when the bed is articulated.
