My saw has tremendous deflection and is out of square

To fix deflection and squareness issues with the Wen MM1215 saw:
1. Set Bevel and Miter Angles to 0° – Ensure the miter angle indicator is at 0° and tighten the miter lock knob. Set the bevel angle indicator to 0° and tighten the bevel lock knob.
2. Check Blade Alignment – With the power OFF, move the blade through its full range of motion to check clearance. Use a combination square against the table and alongside the blade (not the teeth). Rotate the blade by hand to check alignment at different points.
3. Adjust Zero Stop Screw – If the blade does not sit flush against the combination square, adjust the zero stop screw until the table is at 90° with the blade. Secure it by tightening the zero stop lock nut.
4. Make a Test Cut – Perform a test cut and check for accuracy. Repeat step 3 if necessary until the cut is square.
Following these steps should correct deflection and squareness issues.

ELECTRICAL INFORMATION DOUBLE-INSULATED TOOLS The tool’s electrical system is double-insulated where two systems of insulation are provided.
