The Columbus Electronic Timer
(2 wire) is part of the Elkay family of
switches, timers and detectors which
save energy and increase
convenience in and around your
home, garden or premises.

This product is damage and tamper
resistant and is our most accurate
Columbus Timer. It also is the first 2 wire
electronic switch that can be used with
a contactor

Fitting and Operating Instructions

1. Prior to fitting ensure mains power is
switched off, identify the Live In and
Switched Live wires. If fitting into a metal
back box please ensure that all lugs
that are not being used are removed.
2. Fit the Live In and Live Out wires into
terminals as marked in wiring diagram
(see diagram 1).
3. Set time delay by turning timing
screw on the back of the unit. Turning
clockwise increases the time delay.
4. Turn mains power ON.
5. Press the button to switch lights ON.
6. The product will turn itself off once the
set time period has elapsed.
7. Please ensure device is secured back to
the back box once installation is complete.
Note: Capacitor will be required when
switching compact fluorescent or very low
power lighting and contactors. For example:
2D fittings, energy saving lamps, LED's or any
low power consuming loads (Part no. PFCC-1).
This switch is the only 2 wire electronic
switch capable of switching a contactor relay
provided the relay is fitted with a capacitor
across the A1 switch live and A2 Neutral.
