Adjusting the Parking Brake
Re-adjust the parking brake on your mower as outlined
in the "Parking Brake Adjustment" procedure in the
Maintenance section of the mower Operator's manual.
Installing the Mount Brackets
1. Install a lower mount bracket on the left and right
side of the rear bumper cross tube as shown in
Figure 1. Align the mount holes and install two
3/8-16 x 2 1/2 inch screws, washer, and 3/8 inch
flanged nyloc nuts in each bracket.

2. Install one 3/8-16 x 3 inch carriage bolt, washer, and
3/8-16 inch nyloc nut into each lower mount bracket
through the front of the rear bumper as shown in
Figure 2. Install 3/8-16 x 2 1/2 inch screw through
the side of the rear bumper and secure with 3/8 inch
flanged nyloc nut. The head of the screw is facing
outward on each bracket (see Figure 2).

Installing the Weight Assembly
Note: The removable weights are heavy. Use care when
lifting them. Make sure that you can hold them securely
before lifting them. Use caution when positioning your
hands so that you Do Not set them down on your hands

or fingers.
WARNING
Caster or toe board weights installed without the
collection system may cause loss of traction and
steering control. Loss of control can result in an
accident which may cause death, injury, or property
damage.
Install caster or toe board weights ONLY when the
collection system is installed.
1. On the LH side, insert the 3/8-16 x 6 1/2 inch screw
into hole on the bottom side of the bracket and the
rear of the removable 45 lb (20.4 kg) caster weight
as shown in Figure 3. Carefully place the weight and
bracket assembly onto the caster arm centering the
hole of the weight over the caster wheel.
