3.3.3 Grounding Post

The grounding post must be used while using the Line Trace feature to trace push cable.
The M18™ 500GB Control Hub must be grounded to close the current loop to send out
a good locate signal. Use the supplied grounding cable assembly with ground stake to
ground the Control Hub to earth.

Distance Counter Reset

As the Pipeline Inspection Reel rotates, the distance of push cable deployed is shown on
the status bar of the Wireless Monitor in Feet and 10th of an inch or Meters and 10th of a
meter. When pulling back the push cable if the counter passes "0" it will begin to count in
negative footage. For example -1.0FT, -2.0FT.
There are two methods to reset the distance count.
Press the Distance Reset
button on the M18™ 500GB Control Hub or M18™
Wireless Monitor and the distance shown in the Wireless Monitor will reset to "0".

3.3.5 Camera Test Port

As a troubleshooting tool, on the rear of the M18™ 500GB Control Hub, a Camera
Test Port is available. If ever any camera head problems occur, the user can isolate the
camera head from the rest of the system for troubleshooting.
