Under CLAIM INFORMATION, revised the flat rate time to 1.5 hours.

INTRODUCTION

This bulletin covers the total quality inspection (TQI) of the 2016 RLX. It includes these procedures:

Remove the Exterior Protective Coatings

Install the Fuses

Remove the Interior Protective Coverings

Install the Floor Mats

Check the Battery

Install the Body Plugs

Install the Front License Plate Holder

Clean the Rear License Plate Area and Install

the Mounting Hardware

Set the Tire Pressures

To do a TQI on the navigation system, be sure to complete S/B 15-008, 2016 RLX: TQI of the Navigation System.

Page 2 TQI PROCEDURES Before Starting Review these items: • Perfect Delivery documents, especially the information on battery maintenance and tire pressures • TQI checklist in the maintenance journal Make sure you record the TQI on the appropriate pages of the maintenance journal. The TQI is not done until this bulletin and the TQI checklist are both complete.
Page 3 2. When the indicator blinks, touch the keyless remote to the ENGINE START/STOP button. NOTE: The indicator will switch from blinking to steady when communication is complete. 3. Start the engine by pressing the ENGINE START/STOP button while applying the brake pedal. You must start the engine within 10 seconds of touching the remote to the button.

Page 5 Install the Floor Mats Install the floor mats in the appropriate positions. Place the driver’s and front passenger’s floor mat eyelets over the anchors on the floor, then turn the knobs clockwise to the lock position. Do the same for the rear seat floor mats. The anchors for those mats are under the front seats.
Page 6 Vehicle Exterior (Vehicle Raised to Full Height) Install the Body Plugs Install the four body plugs as shown. If they are not installed, the vehicle could make a wind noise that is hard to troubleshoot. Page 6 of 11...
Page 7 Vehicle Exterior (Vehicle Lowered to Half-Height) Install the Front License Plate Holder If state regulations require the use of a front license plate, install the front license plate holder using the three self- tapping screws. The remaining four self-tapping screws are for attaching the plate. Page 7 of 11...
Page 8 Clean the Rear License Plate Area and Install the Mounting Hardware Remove the masking tape covering the two bolt holes. Using 3M General Purpose Adhesive Cleaner (3M #051135- 08984) and a clean shop towel, carefully remove any tape residue. Then install the mounting hardware as shown. Vehicle Exterior (Vehicle Lowered to Ground) Set the Tire Pressures To prevent flat spots during vehicle shipping and storage, the tires are inflated to over 40 psi.
Page 9 Under-Hood (Engine Idling) Do the Idle Learn Procedure To ensure a steady engine idle, do the idle learn procedure as follows after installing the No. 15 BACKUP RADIO (10 A) and No. 16 BACKUP (10 A) fuses: 1. Make sure all electrical items (A/C, audio unit, rear window defogger, lights, etc.) are turned off. 2.
