All of the surfaces on the diffuser must be free of contamination after cleaning. In the
u
case of slotted diffusers, this applies in particular to the diffuser slots (03) and the dif-
fuser annulus (02).
Cleaning procedures should be selected that do not result in removal of the diffuser's
u
base material or damage to its surfaces.
The evenness of all surfaces (01) between the diffuser blades must be checked visually.

The surfaces must be flat and even. Any deformations or deteriorations of the surface
caused by the cleaning process are not permitted.
Have damaged diffusers replaced by an ABB Turbocharging Service Station.
