5.2 Pre-Operation Check List

Check the three lynch pins on the hitch to verify they are securely
fastened.
Check the hydraulic fluid level to verify there is sufficient fluid in
the system.
Check hydraulic lines for breaks and punctures.
Verify hydraulic lines are plugged in securely.
Verify hydraulic lines are tied well away and cannot bind or be
pinched.
Check the cross bolts that secure the 9 pivot pins.
Verify the pins on each end of the drive shaft are secured.
Verify the safety chains on the drive shaft are securely attached
to the cover.
Verify the cutting tips on the cutting wheel are tight.
Grease 2 pins on the deflector shield.
Grease all 9 pivot pins.
Check the oil in the stump grinder's gearbox. For type and
quantity refer to the maintenance section.
