CHANGING A FUSE

WARNINGS
Remove the ignition key and
switch off all the electrical
equipment before touching or
attempting to change a fuse.
Always disconnect the battery
before servicing high current
fuses. Ford recommends that a qualified
technician replace high current fuses.
Always replace a faulty fuse with a
new one of the same rating. Using
a fuse with a higher rating can cause
severe wire damage and could possibly
start a fire.
If electrical components in the vehicle
are not working, a fuse may have blown.
Blown fuses are identified by a broken
wire within the fuse.
Check the appropriate fuses before
replacing any electrical components.
Even after you replace a fuse, it will
continue to blow if you do not find what
caused the overload.
If the fuse continues to blow, have
the electrical system checked by an
Authorised Ford Dealer.
