Recirculated air mode (
WARNING
Extended operation of the climate
control system in a recirculated
air mode may lead to a reduction in air
quality in the cabin. The air in the cabin
should be periodically refreshed by
selecting the fresh air mode.
Use this position when going through
tunnels, driving in congested traffic (high
engine exhaust areas) or when quick
cooling is desired. For more information
and important safety notes on
Recirculated Air mode, refer to Climate
Control - General Notes (page 53).
Fresh air mode (
Use this position for normal conditions
and defogging. For more information
and important safety notes on Fresh
Air mode, refer to Climate Control -
General Notes (page 53).
AMB (Ambient Temperature)
switch
Press the AMB switch to display the
ambient temperature.
Note: The displayed ambient
temperature may vary from the actual
ambient temperature depending on the
surrounding area and vehicle conditions.
Note: When the ambient temperature
switch is pressed, the "AMB" indicator
lamp illuminates and the current outside
temperature is displayed for 5 seconds
in the temperature setting portion of the
display.

Note: If the ambient temperature
switch is pressed again while the "AMB"
indicator lamp is illuminated, the lamp
turns off and the display returns to the
previous displayed temperature setting.
Windshield defroster switch
Press the switch to defrost the
windshield and front door windows.

Press the AUTO switch. Selection of
the airflow mode, air intake selector
and amount of airflow will be
automatically controlled.
Use the temperature control dial to
select a desired temperature.
