Cautions for the <SCN> Modes
F : Handheld Night Scene (continued)
If you shoot a moving subject, the subject's movement may leave afterimages
o
or the surrounding area of the subject may become dark.
The image alignment may not function properly with repetitive patterns (lattice,
o
stripes, etc.), fl at or single-tone images, or images signifi cantly misaligned due
to camera shake.
It takes some time to record images to the card since they are merged after
o
shooting. During the processing of the images, "buSY" will be displayed in the
viewfi nder and on the LCD panel, and you cannot take another picture until
the processing is complete.
G : HDR Backlight Control
Compared to other shooting modes, the image area will be smaller.
o
RAW image quality cannot be set.
o
Flash photography is not possible.
o
Note that the image may not be rendered with a smooth gradation and may
o
look irregular or have signifi cant noise.
HDR Backlight Control may not be eff ective for excessively backlit scenes or
o
extremely high-contrast scenes.
When shooting subjects that are suffi ciently bright as they are, for example for
o
normally lit scenes, the image may look unnatural due to the HDR eff ect.
