For optimum results from your Coffee Urn please follow the instructions below:
1. Pre-heat the urn with hot water for about 10 minutes (hot water from the tap will do).
2. Drain off the water and fill the urn with hot coffee or other hot drink.
3. Place the Coffee Urn on its stand and plug the mains plug into the socket.
4. Always keep the urn 75% full to prevent the liquid from boiling. If the liquid falls below that level, either top
up with more hot coffee or other hot drink, or turn off the heating source.
Sterno fuel heating:
If heating the urn with Sterno gel fuel, allow the fuel to burn for about 1 minute before placing in the burner
holder, in order to check that it is burning correctly.
IMPORTANT: When heating the urn with Sterno fuel, the heating element must first be removed to avoid
damage.
Heating element heating:
To heat the urn with the heating element, place the coffee urn on its stand and plug the heater plug into the
socket.
Remember to ensure that there is sufficient liquid in the urn at all times.
IMPORTANT: The hot plate must always be in contact with the base of the coffee reservoir.
