Connect to a Cable Outlet

Use a coaxial cable (not included) to connect the device's CABLE connector to a cable outlet.

Use the power cord provided to connect the POWER port to a power outlet.

Connect to a Telephone Device (Optional)

Use a telephone cable (not included) to connect one of the LINE ports to a telephone device. Do this only if you have ordered telephone service.

Connect to an Ethernet-Equipped Device (Optional)

Use the Ethernet cable provided to connect one of the LAN ports to an Ethernet-equipped device.

User Configuration (Optional)

In a web browser, enter 192.168.0.1 in the address bar followed by Username and Password, as below.

Connect with Wireless Devices (Optional)

Connect your wireless devices with the correct SSID and Passphrase. If you have not changed them, the default values are indicated on the sticker on the back of the unit.

Connect your wireless devices with the WiFi Protected Setup (WPS). Access the configuration interface (see step 6), enter the Wireless page to enable WPS and set Encrypt Mode to AES, then press Save Changes.

Press this button to begin the WPS Push-Button Configuration (PBC) procedure. Press the PBC button on your wireless clients in the coverage area within two minutes to enable them to join the wireless network.

Congratulations! You have successfully set up your CGNVM. If you have any problems, see the section below for help in identifying the cause.

IP Addresses
If the CGNVM is successfully connected to the network (see LED Display) but you cannot access the Internet from a connected computer, your computer's IP Address may be set up improperly. In your computer's network settings, ensure that it is configured to either receive an IP address automatically (recommended) or that it has a static IP address in the 192.168.0.10~192.168.0.254 range. For more information, consult your operating system's Help documentation.

Green-Blinking The modem is searching for the downstream frequency.
Green-Steady Downstream frequency is locked. (1 channel only)
Blue-Steady Downstream frequency is locked. (channel bonding)

Upstream
Green-Blinking The modem is searching for the upstream frequency.
Green-Steady Upstream frequency is locked. (1 channel only)
Blue-Steady Upstream frequency is locked. (channel bonding)

Online
Green-Blinking Registration is in progress with cable company's head-end.
Green-Steady Gateway is operational for data transmission.
Off Gateway is offline.

Wireless
(2.4GHz)
Green-Blinking The 2.4GHz wireless network is enabled, and data is being transmitted or received.
Green-Steady The 2.4GHz wireless network is enabled, and no data is being transmitted or received.
Off The 2.4GHz wireless network is not enabled.

Wireless
(5GHz)
Green-Blinking The 5GHz wireless network is enabled, and data is being transmitted or received.
Green-Steady The 5GHz wireless network is enabled, and no data is being transmitted or received.
Off The 5GHz wireless network is not enabled.

Line 1
Green-Blinking Line 1 is in use.
Green-Steady Gateway's Line 1 port is online.
Off Gateway's Line 1 port is not online.

Line 2
Green-Blinking Line 2 is in use.
Green-Steady Gateway's Line 2 port is online.
Off Gateway's Line 2 port is not online.

Battery
Amber-Blinking Battery power is low.
Amber-Steady Gateway is operating on AC power.
Off Gateway is running on battery power.

MoCA
Green-Blinking Gateway is searching for MoCA device.
Green-Steady MoCA device has been detected, and the CGNVM has successfully made a connection.
Off MoCA function is not enabled.

The device is a high-performance communications device designed for home and office environments. Do not use the device outdoors. Keep the device in an environment between 0°C ~ 40°C (32°F ~104°F).
