Press the "RANGE" button to activate this function. The "AUTO" indication in the display disappears.
Press the "RANGE" button for 2 seconds to switch off this function. "AUTO" appears again in the display (if the
autorange function is available for his measuring range).

b) DIGIT, display switching

The DIGIT button changes the display resolution by one digit. You can therefore switch from 10,000 to 100,000
counts with the DMM VC950. The measuring rate is, however, reduced by this:
To change the display resolution, press the button "DIGIT".
Press again to return the resolution to its original display settings.

c) Low-Pass Filter (HFR = High Frequency Reject)

The DMM is equipped with an alternating current low-pass filter. This is an alternating voltage measurement routed
through a low-pass filter that blocks undesired voltages. The -3dB-point here is at 800 Hz. (also see chapter 8).
The low-pass filter can only be activated in the alternate voltage measuring range.

d) Auto-HOLD function

The Auto HOLD function freezes the currently indicated measured value to allow you to read or record it easily. If the
measured value exceeds the frozen one by 20 counts, the newly determined measured value is frozen.
If you test live wires, make sure that this function is deactivated before the measurement starts.
Otherwise, the measurement will be incorrect!
To switch on the Auto HOLD function, press the "A-HOLD" button; a signal sound confirms this command and "Auto
HOLD" appears on the display.
In order to switch off the Auto HOLD function, press the "A-HOLD" button again or change the measurement function.

e) Peak-HOLD-function (AC only)

The Peak HOLD function freezes the currently measured maximum and minimum peak values for alternate voltages
or alternate currents to allow you to read or record it easily.
If you test live wires, make sure that this function is deactivated before the measurement starts.
Otherwise, the measurement will be incorrect!
The Peak-HOLD function can only be used in measuring functions for alternate voltage or alternate
current.
To switch on the Peak-Hold function, press the "P-HOLD" button; a signal sound confirms this command and "Peak
HOLD" appears on the display. The secondary display now shows the maximum value. Pressing the button "P-HOLD"
again shows the minimum value.
To switch off the Peak-HOLD function, keep the "P-HOLD" button pressed for 2 s.
