VT1006 – Editable ViewTag

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The VT1006 Editable ViewTag is a battery powered tag or badge for hanging or displaying
relevant information. The users information can be updated using Bluetooth Low-Energy (BTLE)
and is displayed on an epaper screen that can be read and scanned in broad daylight. The
epaper screen uses no power when displaying information.

PROCESS FOR WRITING VIEWTAG

To write the ViewTag, you'll need a BTLE-capable smartphone or tablet running either iOS or
Android, then follow these instructions:
 Download <application name> app
 Open <application name>
 Enter desired information into fields in app
 Press "Write Tag" button to initiate data transfer
o App will prompt you to press button on ViewTag
 Press button on ViewTag
o Green LED should illuminate on ViewTag, indicating that it's ready to receive
data from the phone or tablet
 Wait for LED to extinguish and screen will update with new information
o App will be ready for new information

PROCESS FOR CLEARING VIEWTAG SCREEN

It may be necessary to erase the screen of the ViewTag. To accomplish this, do the following:
 Press and hold the button on the ViewTag for at least 1 second
 Release button
 Press and release button again
o Screen will flash twice and erase all information

PROCESS FOR RETRIEVING VIEWTAG SCREEN INFORMATION

If the ViewTag screen was erased accidentally, it is possible to retrieve the last written
information and display it again. Just follow these steps:
 Press and hold the button on the ViewTag for at least 5 seconds
 Release button
 Press and release button again
o Screen will update with the last written information
NOTE: When attempting to clear the screen, if the button is held for longer than 5
seconds, the screen will update with the same info.
