PROBLEM
12. Unit fails to draw brine or
chemical.
13. Unit uses an excessive
amount of salt or chemical.
14. Continuous flow to drain.
15. Salt water to service.

CAUSE
A. Drain line flow control is
plugged.
B. Plugged eductor system.
C. Line pressure too low.
D. Internal control leak.
E. Drain line too long or restricted.
F. Eductor is drawing air into
system.
A. Incorrect programming.
B. Excessive water in storage tank.
A. Internal seal pack leak.
B. Seal pack or brine piston jammed
in position.
C. Power failure while unit was in
regeneration.
A. Inadequate Brine/Rinse setting
for desired salt dosage.
B. Low water pressure legthens
brine draw time.
C. Too much brine in the storage
tank.
SOLUTION
i. Clean drain line flow control.
i. Clean or replace eductor
screen and nozzle.
i. Increase line pressure to a
minimum of 20 psi (140 kPa).
i. Replace seal pack and/or
eductor sleeve/piston assem-
bly.
i. Verify proper drain line length.
See 'Flow Rate and Drain Line
Charts'.
i. Verify that all tubing connec-
tions are properly assembled.
i. Refer to the 'Programming'
section and verify all settings.
i. Refer to problems 9 & 10.
i. Replace seal pack as outlined
in the 'Parts Replacement
Guide' section.
i. Replace the seal pack or brine
piston as outlined in the 'Parts
Replacement Guide' section.
i. Restore power to unit. Verify
that unit is connected to a
constant power source.
i. Refer to the 'Programming'
section and verify all settings.
i. Increase line pressure to a
minimum of 20 psi (140 kPa).
i. Refer to problems 9 & 10.
