Usage notice

Even if the calculator operates normally, replace the battery at least every three
years (LR44 (GPA76)), every two years (R03 (UM-4)), or every year (LR03 (AM4)). A
discharged battery may leak, causing damage and malfunction to the calculator.
Never leave a discharged battery in the calculator. Do not attempt to use the
calculator when the battery is completely discharged (fx-85ES PLUS).
The battery supplied with this calculator slowly discharges during shipping and
storage. For this reason, an earlier replacement than usual may be required.
Do not use an Oxyride battery or any other type of nickel primary battery with
this product. Incompatibilities between such batteries and product specifications
may result in shorter battery life and product malfunction.
Avoid using and storing the calculator in locations with temperature extremes,
high humidity, and dust.
Do not subject the calculator to excessive shock, pressure or bending.
Never attempt to disassemble the calculator.
Clean the outside of the calculator with a soft and dry cloth.
When disposing of the calculator or batteries, do so in accordance with the laws
and regulations in your area.

Removing the hard cover
Before using the calculator, slide the hard cover down to remove it, and then attach it to
the back of the calculator as shown in the picture below.
How to turn On & Off
Press ON to turn on the calculator.
Press SHIFT + AC (OFF) to turn off the calculator.
