The very reliable GoBook VR-1 provides superior vibration, water ingress,
operating temperature and drop shock characteristics than typical semi-rugged
or consumer laptops. Fully optimized for your 'on-the-go' mobile workforce,
the vehicle-ready VR-1 can withstand extreme temperatures (-20° to 60° C
( -4° to 140° F)); humidity (95% RH); spills on the keyboard and palm rest area
(up to 100cc within five seconds); punishing 30 inch drops; and bone-jarring
vibrations from constant in-vehicle fleet use.
Performance
Not only did we outfit this laptop with ALL the rugged features you need, we
also included the powerful Intel Pentium
®
FSB, 2MB L2 cache. Utilizing the Intel ®
VR-1 enables advanced graphics manipulation for intense applications, while
maintaining speed and performance. And it even has an auto-adjusting LCD
screen that adapts to changing light conditions to conserve battery life.
Ultimate Wireless
Building on the Itronix legacy for high-performance enterprise wireless solutions,
the VR-1 offers a full range of radio options; simultaneously operating up to
four, including: Bluetooth, 802.11a/b/g, either 1xRTT / EV-DO or GPRS/ EDGE,
and an optional Integrated GPS module, which features a highly optimized
Quadrifilar Helix antenna for maximum satellite positioning access. For the
ultimate in mobility between networks, the VR-1 offers Netmotion software,
which allows users to dynamically and seamlessly travel in their active sessions
between LAN, WLAN, and WWAN. In addition, the unique Common Radio
Module Architecture Express (CRMA EXPRESS) allows for seamless plug-and-

play integration of radios as wireless technologies evolve, further extending the
'return on investment' (ROI) of your semi-rugged notebook computer.
Security
No we did not forget security, the VR-1 comes standard with a removable hard
disk drive and can be equipped with fingerprint scanner and Smart Card (CAC)
reader for secured access 'gate keeping'.
