USEFUL TIPS
• Be mindful of the cord or wire crossing or
twisting during setup. (see instructional video)
• When using wire, be conscious of possible
spring-back when wire gets unspooled.
• When using your drill of choice, we
recommend a low speed setting for a smooth
cut. Using a higher speed may cause the cord
to break or wire to snap.

TRANSFORMER®*
QUARTER GLASS REMOVAL WITH SIDESTRIKER™
• Remove all trim panels surrounding the work area and
identify any clips/setting pins. Make sure to use proper vehicle
and personal protection.
• Insert cord on the spindle on one side of the Transformer®,
lace cord around perimeter of the quarter glass on the
outside. Anchor using Equalizer® Large or Mini anchor cup
(sold seperately) to the vehicle.
• Attach the SideStriker™ to the door striker, insert
Transformer® to the SideStriker™ and secure with locking pin.
• Apply tape on the glass and body as well so that when the
last cut is made, the glass will stay in place.
• Using either the ratchet (included) or your drill with provided
drill bit, begin cutting until your cut-out is complete.
• When you encounter the clips, make sure that the wire/cord
stays between the clip and the body of the vehicle.
• As you begin cutting again, keep in mind that the glass is now
loose, so slow and easy movements are required. If not, you
could pop the glass out too soon causing damage to the glass
and or body of the vehicle. Continue cutting until wire/cord
crosses making the final cut.
