    Product description The disadvantage of the oscillometric method is the sensitivity to movement. Measurement Cycle The oscillometric method can be divided into three measurement steps (see Fig. 1): 1. Cuff inflation The cuff is pumped up to a certain predefined pressure that is high enough to cut off the arterial blood flow in the arm.

    Product description Tel-O-Graph ® BT / BT plus Opening the recorder’s menu Press and hold the operating button for at least 6 seconds. The individual menu (BT) options will be displayed. After 3 seconds, the display will show “bt”. Ignore this and hold down the button for another 3 seconds.

    For this purpose, a one-time login provided by IEM is used when starting the software for the first time. After entering the data correctly, the mask for entering the account information is displayed. The newly set password must be repeated. The input of the username is limited to max.

    This is the only way to ensure that the functions suitable for the currently connected device are made available. About window Clicking on the IEM logo gives information about the software version and the manufacturer. 3.3.2 Bottom Bar The current connection status is displayed in the footer.

    Service Software 3.3.5 Working area As long as the user has not yet logged in, the area contains the mask for the login. The login is performed using the username and password pair generated during the first-time login. If the login was successful, the button for establishing a connection in the top bar changes color from red to green and the username used appears below the user pictogram on the left edge.

    3.4.2 Device Tests Button name Assigned action Beep Sends a command to trigger the beeper. A single beep should be heard. Battery Voltage Sends a command to read out the voltage applied by the inserted batteries. The voltage read is displayed in millivolts.     3.4.9 PWA Keys The function to read out the PWA keys state is active for all devices with firmware version ≥ 1.1.0. Button name Assigned action Read State Sends a command to read the PWA key state. It is displayed whether the keys are stored and the activation state of each key (A, B, C).

    Update Flashing the device is a critical process! If the running process is interrupted, damage may occur that can only be repaired by IEM. Sends a command to flash the firmware version in the device. A confirmation window appears: Flashing the device and deleting all measurements has to be confirmed.

    Legal requirements however vary from country to country and it is strongly recommended that resellers check and obey guidelines in their domestic markets. A separate calibration training program is made available by IEM and documentation is provided separately to all participants.

    7. Modifications to components for repair purposes are not permitted. A requirement for repairs by other parties than IEM is signing a service agreement with IEM GmbH. Repairing without a signed service agreement is not permitted. Repairs may only be performed by competent personnel that can prove appropriate education in a corresponding technical scope of work.

    5.3.3 Silicone Connector Figure 11: Silicone Connector The silicone connector connects the pressure sensor on the mainboard, the cuff connector, the pump, and the valve to a pneumatic system. How to replace: Open the housing (remove rubber feet, unscrew screws). Move the LC display carefully to the side.

    Repairing 5.3.5 Valve Figure 13: Valve ® The valve is responsible for the right deaeration of the Tel-O-Graph . It is connected to the pneumatic system with the silicone connector and the mainboard with a wire-to-board connector. How to replace: Follow the steps of the silicone connector replacement (see 5.3.3).

    The Bluetooth board is fixed on the mainboard with an electrical board-to-board connector. This component exists in different versions, please refer to chapter 7!     5.3.10 Stripline antenna Figure 18: Stripline antenna The Stripline antenna is connected to the GSM board with a wire-to-board connector and fixed in the lower housing with a double-faced adhesive tape. How to replace: Open the housing (remove rubber feet, unscrew screws). Move the LC-Display carefully to the side.

    The SIM card is inserted into a card slot in the GSM module. The device does not have to be unscrewed to change the SIM card. If this component is replaced, the label must be renewed! This can be requested at IEM. How to replace: Open the battery compartment and remove the batteries To remove the sim card, press it lightly into the housing.

    6 Description of Errors The Tel-O-Graph’s internal firmware has 10 built-in error codes that are designed to provide quick information on the cause of any problem. The codes will appear in the LC display when the problem occurs. While an error code is displayed the -button can be pressed to receive an internal error code for more details.
