Map KF297 Programming Instructions

REMOTE PROGRAMMING INSTRUCTIONS

Please read carefully before trying to program your new remote. Some steps need to be
performed quickly in this procedure so having a clear understanding is beneficial.
KF297 + KF400 only: Transponder must be programmed using a scan tool.
1. Sit in the vehicle with all doors closed.
2. Lock doors with power door lock switch on driver's door. Ensure all doors lock.
3. Within 10 seconds; Insert & remove a working key from ignition (approximately 6-8 times) until the
doors unlock.
4. VERY QUICKLY re-insert key it to ignition, turn to the 'On' position and re-lock the doors using the
power door lock switch on the driver's door. If performed correctly, you are now in 'Learn mode'.
5. Press unlock button on new remote transmitter. If programmed successfully the doors will unlock.
6. Remove the key from the ignition & open and close the driver's door to exit 'Learn mode'. Complete.

Tips

Step 2: If all doors lock but the driver's door remains unlocked – try using a different button.
Step 3: Try inserting the key hard in to the ignition and removing it out towards the vehicle's window.
