Yellow Indicator Light lights in the
switched-on state of the Freezer
Switch.
6.
The Red Indicator Light will also illu-
minate until the correct temperature
is reached.
A few hours after starting up the Red
Indicator Light will go out to show
that the correct temperature has
been reached for the setting chosen
and will stay out to indicate that ev-
erything is in order. It will come on if
the freezer temperature rises unduly
for instance, after opening the freez-
er door or placing food inside the
cabinet, but the light should go out
again when the temperature returns
to the correct storage level.
7.
When the appliance has reached the
set temperature (the Red Indicator
Light has gone out) press the Freez-
er Switch again to switch off the fast
freeze function. The Yellow Indicator
Light will go out.
2.2 Switching off
1.
To turn off the appliance, turn the
Temperature Regulator to the "O"
position.
2.
To disconnect the appliance from
the power disconnect the mains
plug from the wall socket.
2.3 Temperature regulation
The temperature within the appliance is
controlled by the Temperature Regula-
tor situated on the control panel.
To operate the appliance, proceed as
follows:
• turn the Temperature Regulator to-
ward lower settings to obtain the mini-
mum coldness.
• turn the Temperature Regulator to-
ward higher settings to obtain the
maximum coldness.
A medium setting is generally
the most suitable.
However, the exact setting should be
chosen keeping in mind that the temper-
ature inside the appliance depends on:
• room temperature
• how often the door is opened
• the quantity of food stored
• the location of the appliance.
2.4 Fast Freeze function
If more than 3-4 kg of food is to be fro-
zen:
1.
Press the Freezer Switch to activate
the fast-freeze function 6-24 hours
before placing the fresh food in the
freezer, the Yellow Indicator Light
will illuminate. The compressor will
now run continuously, to ensure that
the fresh food is frozen as quickly as
possible.
2.
It is possible to deactivate the func-
tion at any time by pressing the
Freezer Switch.
3.
Place the food in the freezing (top)
compartment and leave the Freezer
Switch on for a further 24 hours.
4.
Then push the Freezer Switch again
(the Yellow Indicator Light will go
out and the switch turns to its origi-
nal position).
5.
Move frozen food from the top
(freezer) compartment into the other
two compartments (storing compart-
ments). For maximum freezing per-
formance remove the top drawer (if
the drawer is foreseen) and then
place the foods to be frozen directly
on the evaporator. In case of freez-
ing smaller food volumes you do not
need to remove the drawer.
If the Freezer Switch is acciden-
tally left on, the freezer will not
be damaged, but energy will be
wasted.
