About the McPC-Gigabit

The McPC-Gigabit is a low-cost, IEEE 802.3 single-conversion, PC Card media
converter that converts 1000Base-TX twisted pair to 1000Base-SX multi-mode or
1000Base-LX single-mode fiber. The McPC-Gigabit is available with one RJ-45
connector for the twisted pair port and a SC connector for the fiber port.
The McPC-Gigabit is also available for single-strand which allows two individual
channels to share one strand of fiber; Full-Duplex data travels on different wave-
lengths— 1310 nm and 1550 nm.
The McPC-Gigabit can be mounted into any PC with a standard PCI or ISA slot,
and includes diagnostic LEDs for each port.
