About McPC
M M c c P P C C s s ™ ™ are low-cost, preconfigured, IEEE
802.3 single-conversion PC media converters
that convert between 10Base-T twisted pair
and either 10Base-2 thin coax or 10Base-FL
multi-mode or single-mode fiber. It is available
with one RJ-45 connector for the twisted pair
port and one pair of ST or SC connectors (or
a VF connector) for the fiber port (McPC TP/FO)
or one BNC connector for the coax port (McPC TP/BNC).
McPCs can be mounted in any PC with a standard PCI or ISA slot. It
includes diagnostic LEDs for each port and a 4-pin peripheral power supply
connector.
Jumper Configuration
Before installing McPC TP/FO, you can first configure its jumper settings, if
