Important Safeguards

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
READ AND SAVE THESE SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING
THIS PRODUCT.
When using electrical appliances, basic precautions should always be followed to
reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury, including the following:
1. Read all instructions before
operating this thermometer.
2. Keep the sensor clean before and
after measurement.
3. This thermometer works best in
temperatures between
61° F/16° C and 95° F/35° C.
4. Do not use this thermometer in
extreme temperatures (below
32° F/0° C, above 104° F/40° C, or
above 85% relative humidity).
5. If the thermometer is moved
between areas with a large
temperature differences, allow
the thermometer to acclimate for
20 minutes before use.
6. Always use a clinical thermometer
to verify any abnormal temperature
measurements.
7. For household use only. Not
intended for medical or healthcare
facility use.
8. Keep out of reach of children under
12 years.
9. Never use the thermometer for
purposes other than those it has
been intended for. Please follow the
general safety precautions when
using on children.
10. Never immerse the thermometer
into water or other liquids (not
waterproof). For cleaning and
disinfecting directions, see the
"Care & Cleaning" section.
11. Keep the thermometer away from
direct exposure to the sun and
keep it in a dustfree, dry area at a
temperature between 60.8° F/16° C
and 104° F/40° C.
12. Do not use the thermometer if
there are signs of damage on
the measuring sensor or on the
instrument itself. If damaged,
do not attempt to repair the
instrument. Contact Customer
Service using the number on the
back of this manual.
13. This thermometer consists of
high-quality precision parts. Do
not drop the instrument. Protect it
from severe impact and shock. Do
not twist the thermometer or the
measuring sensor.
