Cleaning
Temp-A-Sure Thermometer is a non-critical Reusable Medical Equipment (RME)
device. Please clean and disinfect the housing and lens of this device before and
after each use. To clean and disinfect this device, please read and understand these
instructions. When using, cleaning, and storing this thermometer, be sure not to
damage the sensor.
1. Gently wipe the sensor with a clean cotton swab.
2. Gently wipe the LCD Display and the exterior of the thermometer with a soft,
clean cloth.
3. Use a soft cotton cloth moistened with water or alcohol to gently wipe the
thermometer. Never submerge the thermometer in liquid, place it in an
autoclave device, or subject it to harsh solvents or abrasives.
4. This thermometer is a non-contact thermometer, so disinfection is not
required before use. To disinfect the thermometer, wipe the thermometer with
70% isopropyl alcohol wipes for at least 1 minute.
5. Allow the device to dry for at least 10–15 minutes after cleaning before using
the thermometer.
Storage
• Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place. Avoid direct sunlight.
• Do not store in a location colder than 68° F/20° C or hotter than 131° F/55° C.
• Do not store in a location with a relative humidity greater than 93%.
• If you are not planning to use the thermometer for a long time, remove the
battery and cover the cap.
Battery Disposal
Follow local regulations for disposing of the thermometer's batteries.
