Directions For Use
Body Temperature Measurement
Ensure that the Toggle Switch is set to the body
temperature setting.
1. Press the Trigger to turn on the thermometer.
The LCD Display will turn on.
2. Point the thermometer at the forehead of the
person whose temperature is being taken.
Keep the thermometer 1–2 inches (3–5 cm)
from the target's forehead.
3. Press and hold the Trigger to measure the target's
body temperature. Release the trigger when the
temperature reading is displayed.
The best way to determine your normal temperature
range is to use the thermometer when feeling well.
Record readings twice a day (early morning and late
afternoon). Take the average of the two temperatures
to calculate normal oral equivalent temperature.
A child's normal temperature can be as high as 99.9°F or as low as 97 .0°F . Remeasure
with a standard digital thermometer for confirmation, especially on infants.
Fever Guidance
Fever Guidance helps you to better understand the meaning of your child's
temperature with the color indicated on the display. The screen displays green if no
fever, orange when the temperature is slightly elevated and a red alert for fever.
