If there is a problem with your oven, please check the following points before contacting
your local Fisher & Paykel trained and supported service technician or the Customer Care
Centre.
General
PROBLEM
The oven does not work
(no heating)
The oven does not work
but the screen is on.
One of the oven lights
does not come on, but the
oven works.
The oven controls are
unresponsive.
The oven is not heating.
A glass pane in the
oven door has cracked,
chipped, or shattered.
I can feel hot air blowing
out of the vents after I
have turned the oven off.
Steam coming from vents
at the back of the range.

TROUBLESHOOTING

POSSIBLE CAUSES
No power supply (oven light and
dial halos do not come on)
No gas supply
The oven is in Demo Mode.
The oven light bulb(s) have
blown
The light bulb is loose.
The oven light has been turned off.
The control panel is locked.
The oven is in Sabbath Mode.
The door is not properly closed or
it is opened too frequently during
cooking.
Incorrect cleaning or the edge
of the glass hitting against
something.
This is normal.
Moisture from food evaporating
during cooking.
WHAT TO DO
Ensure the circuit breaker hasn't
tripped and there is no power
outage in your area. If there is a
power outage, you cannot use the
oven until power is restored.
The supply to the house may be
faulty or there may be an outage.
Contact your local gas supplier.
Call Customer Care.
Replace the light bulb(s). See 'Care
and cleaning' for instructions.
Ensure bulb is secure See 'Care
and cleaning' for instructions.
Go to the menu in the top left
corner of the screen and select
LIGHT.
Touch and hold the screen to
unlock.
See 'Sabbath Mode'.
The heating elements are disabled
while the door is open. Ensure the
door is properly closed and avoid
opening it during cooking.
You must NOT use the oven.
Contact a Fisher & Paykel trained
and supported service technician
or Customer Care
For safety reasons the cooling fans
will continue to run even when you
have turned the oven off. The fans
will switch off automatically.
This is normal, especially if you are
cooking large quantities of food
using a CONVECTION mode
