15. The transformer is ready to prime and paint. We have found priming to be useful in achieving
the best looking paint job, and highly recommend it.
16. Prototype transformers are painted light to medium grey, usually with a semi-gloss finish.
Because there are so many nooks and crannies on the transformers, airbrushing is the only way
to get a good looking paint job. Start out with a light setting to get all of the hard to reach
places.
17. Once the paint is dry, the transformer is ready to place on your Railfan Models KRL heavy duty
flat car.
