GENERAL OVERVIEW • Please follow directions in the sequence they are presented. It is suggested you read through the entire assembly instructions prior to proceeding. • Proper handling is required, especially structures that have fl at fl oors with minimal foundations. Dropping this unit during transport and site set-up may cause structural damage or misalignment of the front assembly and door. - Page 6 Step 2. Front Sub-Assembly to the Base Surrounds Lift the front sub-assembly and place the legs of the aluminum door jamb into the “pockets” of the base surround on each side of the door opening. Place on 1/4” shims to make level with the wall and corner molding sub-assembly. At- tach the front sub-assembly to the front corner moldings by riveting into the pre-drilled holes using (9) PC-000100 rivets and (9) PC-000106 back-up wash- ers as in Step 1.
- Page 7 Step 3. Attaching the Wall Panels and Corner Moldings to the Base Surround NOTE: (There are pre-drilled holes along the bot- tom edge of the wall panels. There are no holes in the bottom edge of the corner moldings. You will need to make drill holes in the corner mold- ings, one on each side of the rib making them even with the holes that are in the wall panels.) Start...
- Page 8 Step 5. Waste Tank Installation On the outside of the unit someone will measure and mark drill spots. For the rear wall panel measure from the inside edge of the rib in 11” and up from the top of the base surround 17-1/2” and mark with a marker.
- Page 9 Step 7. Mounting the Grab Bars To mount the grab bars, pry back the two round snap lock fl anges on each grab bar with a screwdriver. Align the three- hole pattern on both fl anges of the grab bars to the holes on the support rails and rivet in place using (18) PC-000102 rivets and (18) PC-000106 back-up washers.
- Page 10 Step 10. Slide Latch and Cover Plate Place the slide latch in the cut-out recess of the door with the “OPEN/IN USE” decal facing the outside of the door. Place the slide latch cover plate over the slide latch. IMPORTANT: RIVET THE SLIDE LATCH AND COVER PLATE INTO PLACE WITH (4) PC-000105 RIVETS WITH (4) PC-000106 BACK-UP WASHERS ON THE ENDS OF THE RIVET IN BE- TWEEN THE COVER PLATE AND DOOR.
- Page 11 Toilet Seat Installation Step 13. Place the toilet seat on the top of the tank. Line up the holes in the hinge of the seat with the holes in the top of the tank. Insert the seat bolts through the seat hinge and through the tank. Lift open the seat, thread the plastic seat nuts on the ends of the bolts and tighten.
