CONTROL CONSOLE AND DISPLAY
Located beside the truck driver's seat is the control console. The control console houses all of the main control
switches necessary to operate the machine. Most machine configurations have the following switches and arrange-
ments. Arrangements can vary according to chassis setups.
Control Switches
The master power switch supplies the electrical power to the auger and reel control box.
The auger and reel control knob is connected directly to the hydrostatic pump that drives the augers and reel.
This is used to control the speed of the augers and the reel.
The auxiliary shift switch is used to change the gear range of the auxiliary transmission of the truck chassis
(If so equipped). To avoid loss of drive the shift switch should only be used when the vehicle is at a stand still.
Do not atttemp to change the auxiliary transmission while in motion.
The reversible radiator fan overide switch can be used at any time. The radiator fan is set to reverse itself
at a predetermined time interval to help eleviate excess dust and debris buildup on the radiator. This button
allows the operator to reverse the airflow on the radiator and should be used if there is a noticeable increase
of dust or debris on the radiator or if there is a spike in the engine water temperature.
The hour meter registers how many hours the hydrostatic pump is in operation.
The bunk light switch is an on-off switch that controls the flip chute and rear bumper lights.
The PTO Control Console will have the same setup as the Hydro controllled console with the absence of the
speed control box and the addition of the PTO on/off switch. The speed of the augers and reel will be directly
controlled by engine speed. In this case the hour meter will register how many hours the PTO is engaged.
