6.9.2 Port Forwarding
Selecting Port Forwarding generates the "Port Forwarding" screen. Activating
Port Forwarding allows the network to be exposed to the Internet in certain
limited and controlled ways, enabling some applications to work from the local
network (game, voice, and chat applications, for example), as well as allowing
Internet access to servers in the local network.
To set up port forwarding:
1.
Enter the LAN starting port in the "Starting Port" text box.
2.
Enter the LAN ending port in the "Ending Port" text box.
3.
Select a protocol from the "Protocol" drop-down list box.
