Verizon Fios Quantum Gateway G1100 Installation Guide

Follow these steps

1. Connect the ethernet cable from the WAN port on your router to a wall outlet.
   
2. Connect the power cord.
3. Activation takes up to 15 minutes.
4. Router turns on automatically.
5. Setup is complete when front lights are white and back light is green.
   
   

Wired or Wi-Fi?

Wired

1. Connect the ethernet cable to any YELLOW ethernet port on your router.
2. Connect the other end to your computer.

Wi-Fi

1. Locate the Wi-Fi label on your router.
2. Launch your device's Wi-Fi application and locate your network name.
3. Choose a Wi-Fi network
   • 5 GHz network is faster but has less range.
   • 2.4 GHz network has a greater range but slower speeds.
     Note: Older devices can only use 2.4 GHz.
4. Enter password from the label.

Visit myverizon.com to verify your internet is working.

Troubleshooting

First 15 minutes
Wait at least 15 minutes for router to activate once plugged in.
Router lights will flash and turn off/on during activation.

After 15 minutes
When back light is red, Verizon support is needed.
When GLOBE light is flashing red, Verizon support is needed.
