17. Troubleshooting

If a fault occurs, first see whether you can resolve the problem yourself. You might
find this overview useful.
Fault
No sound
No or poor ra-
dio reception
CD is not
played.
Possible cause
The current volume is set too
low.
The mute setting is activated.
When the device is connected
via AUX/LINE IN or Bluetooth:
The volume of the external
device is too low.
Headphones are connected.
The sound playback on the
loudspeakers is interrupted if
headphones are connected.
The station signals are too
weak.
Condensation has formed.
Incorrect CD format.
The CD is dirty or incorrectly
inserted.
Corrective action
Increase the volume.
Switch off the mute setting.
Increase the volume on the
external device.
Unplug the headphone jack
plug from the headphone
socket.
Adjust the frequency of the
stations.
Move the radio to a differ-
ent location or change the
direction of the antenna to
improve the reception, if nec-
essary.
Pull the mains plug out of
the mains outlet and wait un-
til the device and the CD has
adapted to the environmental
conditions.
The device only supports the
CD formats specified in the
technical data.
Clean the CD and insert it into
the CD compartment with the
label facing upwards.
